Oiled flooring is harder to maintain but easier to repair. If the flooring has a natural oil finish, it is recommended to reapply the oil every year.

Tongue & Groove

Tongue & Groove refers to one plank of the hardwood flooring containing a slot (groove) while the other has the ridge (tongue). This system is used to connect two boards and it requires wood PVA adhesive in between of joints.
